Beorn is a man in the day and a Bear at night
Beorn is a shapeshifter. He looks after the party when they are rescued by the giant eagles from the Goblins and wolves. He even supplies them with more food and supplies for their trip through the Mirkwood forest to Dale. In his bear form he is huge , scary and let's put it like this - don't go out at night when he is about! During the day he is a gruff but well meaning and very tall man used to spending most of his time alone but appreciates company for short periods of time.
